Racism conversation: This summer we have experienced and seen a lot of activity involving police violence and the work of making sure that Black lives are recognized as sacred. Do you want to know what’s going on in St. Cloud/Central MN and how you can be a part of the conversation? Join Pastor James Alberts II, Molly Weyrens, and Pastor Leah Rosso as we have a conversation about racism in St. Cloud, listen to one another’s experiences, and explore our individual and collective roles in this moment. We invite everyone who’s interested to come and participate in the conversation! This event will be held on Zoom on two Thursdays, Oct. 8 and 15, from 6:30-8 p.m. Participants will be sent a Zoom link when they register. Habitat for Humanity: Thanks to our six groups of volunteers who each served a full- or half-day shift over the course of three dates to help build a home for a Central Minnesota family. We had two teams each on Thursdays, Aug. 27, Sept. 10, and Oct. 1. For those of you who have often “thought about” volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, please be open to this opportunity again next year! Special thanks to Kris Boyle for organizing teams.
