Coats for Kids
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 5548. We are in need of boys and girls (kids) coats sizes small to large. Coats need to be clean and in good condition. We are also in need of boots, gloves, caps and scarves. There is a box in the gathering areas at all the ACC parish buildings: St. Peter, St. Joseph, St. Michael and St. Paul for your needed donations now through Mid-November. If you have any questions or in need of winter apparel for yourself or a child, please contact Tom or Ione Jacobs at 252-0126.
Warm Their Soles
St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Parishes are having their 6th Annual Sock Drive in the month of November. Last year we were able to distribute 1566 pairs of socks in our community. Clean, dry socks are something that we all take for granted. Help us once again with our mission by donating NEW socks for men, women and children. We will be distributing these socks to The Dream Center, Catholic Charities and The Place of Hope. Look for baskets at St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Parishes in the month of November and drop off your donation of NEW socks. Thank you!
St Michael Giving Tree
St. Michael’s will be starting the Christmas Tree Project again this year. We will be collecting and distributing to various organizations in our area. Catholic Charities, Toys for Tots, Anna Marie, Eagles Nest, (the facility that helps veterans returning from war) and other local areas of needs. Many of these organizations are trying to distribute using safe distancing earlier than normal time. Our collection will start before Thanksgiving and ending by the week of December 5th and 6th. Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.
St Michael Winter Attire for those who are Homeless
With sporadic winter weather presenting itself, our homeless population is in desperate need of some basic winter attire, namely socks, hats and gloves. Sizes would range from children through adult. As you consider similar needs from our Social Concerns Christmas tree project, please take a look at the tub labeled Homeless under the television in the narthex and join me in donating. The tub will remain from now through the Christmas season. Thank you for your heartfelt generosity, Mari Walker, Social Justice Committee
