Pastoral Care Ministry news.....
With Thanksgiving right around the corner this is a time to consider how much we have to be thankful for. The days are getting shorter and chillier and in these days of uncertainty we need to give thanks every day. On these darker days, our perspective can change; keep in mind that each of us has a responsibility to be positive to those around us.
I suggest that when we awaken we thank God for any number of things! We should be thankful for the little things we have, such as a warm home, having the sight to watch falling snow or see the sun shine, a phone to reach out to an old friend. Basic things such as being able to dress oneself, feed oneself and walk without assistance are too often taken for granted. An attitude of gratitude can make every day a Thanksgiving Day if we allow it.
Thanksgiving Mass options Wednesday (Nov. 25) evening 6:30 p.m. at St Paul and Thursday (Nov. 26) 9:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church. Please try to attend an ACC Mass and give thanks to the priests and all who make these Masses ‘happen’. Give thanks that we have the freedom to attend Mass!
Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless!
