Pastoral Care Ministry news.....
November is National Healthy Lung Month. If you are a smoker, there are many resources that can help you quit. Your body recovers after you quit! Vaping is the craze now it seems, but that too, is an unhealthy choice. Call your doctor for help if needed.
This is also National Home Care and Hospice Month. These are 2 organizations that help our loved ones remain in their homes while facing serious health challenges.
It is also Alzheimer Disease Awareness Month. Our community has many resources to help families cope with this disease.
Please recognize and give thanks to any caretaker or home health aide that you know; at times these can be ‘thankless’ jobs…..and remember, a SPOUSE of someone who gives daily care needs a call, relief for just a few hours a week to revive themselves. A call is free and always appreciated!
During this month, prior to Thanksgiving and the Holidays, Geralyn Nathe-Evans has put on a Grief Seminar for anyone who is grieving from death, loss of job, loss of living in their own home. Due to COVID, there is no face-to-face seminar this year but Geralyn has graciously written an article for you. Please see the insert in today’s bulletin.
