The Faith Formation Director works under the direct supervision of the Pastors, sustaining and developing Comprehensive Faith Formation in the Together as One Area Catholic Community made up of the parishes of St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. Michael in St. Cloud, and St. Joseph’s in Waite Park.
We looking for a person who can direct a “Total Faith Formation” program from Preschool thru Elderly Adult with a primary focus on a Pre-K thru Confirmation catechetical program.
This is a full-time exempt position for 10-11-month work year. (part-time negotiable)
The starting salary for this position is approximately $35,000 annually but is negotiable depending on education and experience. Benefits are available, including health insurance, life and LTD, vacation/sick pay, retirement and other benefits.. The director has a budget and a possibility of having a small support staff.

About Together as One Area Catholic Community:
Includes the parishes of St. Peter, St. Joseph, St. Michael and St. Paul located on the north side of St. Cloud, MN.
Our total parish community of approximately 5500 members, consisting of 60% adult over 65, 21% adults 39-64, 10% adults 18-38, and 8% youth 0-17.
Together As One has a healthy, vibrant Catholic School (All Saints Academy) located in one of our parish campuses. It is connected to other parishes and Catholic schools within a CCS system.
Our Pre-K thru 12th grade Faith Formation program has about 200 students.

Job Duties Include:
Develops goals, objectives and implementation strategies for a comprehensive Faith Formation program that serves children, youth, and adults, with emphasis on a Pre-K thru Confirmation Faith Formation program.
Manages a unified catechetical curriculum development in collaboration with F.F. teacher-volunteer catechists .
Coordinates faith formation, sacramental preparation, youth ministry in collaboration with our ASA Catholic School and our parish RCIA program along with neighboring parishes.
Supports and at times creates opportunities of learning, reflection, and fellowship for other adults.
Manages recruitment, training and support of Faith Formation and youth volunteers, including catechists.
Aids in cultivating effective communication about parish ministries in and outside of the parish by assisting in the writing of bulletin articles, updating parish website and helping to maintain parish Facebook page(s).
Attends diocesan and St. Cloud Metro Faith Formation and youth ministry meetings as assigned, representing “Together As One” Area Catholic Community. Attends Staff Meetings.
Acts as parish/group leader at collaborative youth ministry and faith formation metro and diocesan events.
Directs administrative functions connected to Faith Formation and Youth Ministry including compiling faith formation and youth ministry registrations, sacramental documentation, mailings and class lists.
Adapts to changing needs of the parish, other staff, and Pastor(s) during the Area Catholic Community transition process.
Assures and is responsible for Safe Environment Training and forms completion for all those involved with Faith Formation.
Manages and purchases all supplies for Faith Formation within budget.
Performs any other job-related duties as necessary and assigned by the Pastor(s).
Qualities of a Good Applicant
Degree in theology, pastoral studies, religious education or a related field. Related degrees will be considered.
Experience in Faith Formation or youth ministry leadership. .
Live and actively practice the Roman Catholic faith.
Knowledge of the Catholic doctrine and beliefs as presented in the documents of Vatican Council II, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other relevant Church and Catechetical Documents.
Aptitude for and skills relating to working as a collaborative team member.
Computer literacy, excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal relationship skills.
Qualities that Might Set an Applicant Apart:
Is familiar with the RCIA process.
Proficiency with written English and oral Spanish.
Experience or training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program.
Excellent in technology and social media skills.
Experience with Faith Formation and youth ministry within the St. Cloud Diocese and/or St. Cloud Metro Area.
