The month of August means the winding down of Summer and gearing up for a new Fall 2020-21 school year. Although this year with Covid-19 there will be some unique challenges. Our Students, Parents, and Teachers here at All Saints Academy are excited to get back into the classroom and resume our mission of Catholic Education. At this point, the first day of school for ASA will be on Tuesday, September 1st.
Bishop Donald Kettler is committed to having our Catholic Schools reopen. Before doing this, he requested that each Catholic School (including ASA) submit a plan and proposal for reopening following the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Catholic Community of Schools (CCS) safety guidelines. Our principal, Paula Leider, has drafted a safety plan and has received permission from our bishop to reopen! Starting Sept. 1st then, we are going forward with “in person learning” where both teachers and students are in the classroom We do this with the understanding that should the Covid-19 situation change, we may have to switch to a more “hybrid” plan for education which is a combination of “in person” and “distance learning.” “Distance Learning” is where all classes are conducted remotely. Right now, ASA parents will have a choice of “in person” learning or “distance learning” which ever makes them feel most comfortable.
Paula Leider has informed me that we still have some limited openings in all grades Pre-6th for our St. Cloud Campus so if you as a parent (or grandparent) are interested and appreciate smaller class room sizes as well as an education that combines both our Catholic Faith with excellent learning, I encourage you to check out All Saints Academy. It’s so important that our children (especially in those primary grades) feel safe and yet grow both academically and religiously in their relationship with God. Our motto here at ASA is “Where Spirit Inspires!” and so we truly try to bring both faith and education together as one.
If you would like more information feel free to call the ASA Main Office at: 320-251-5295 or email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or check out the website at: www.allsaintsmn.org for further details. They would be happy to give a tour for any potential families or answer any questions. So, here’s to enjoying these last weeks of Summer and asking God’s blessings upon ASA students, staff, and parents as we prepare for a new year of learning. Peace!
